Ellis R. Mirsky
Firm partner Ellis Mirsky blends his engineering and legal backgrounds to find creative, low cost solutions to a wide variety of business issues facing businesses, insurers and law firms. Ellis' principal legal experience has been in the areas of litigation and litigation management, as well as insurance coverage.
He has 25 years of legal experience, including as outside counsel with a large New York City law firm (Rosenman & Colin), as inhouse counsel, vice president and chief of litigation for two large, publicly-traded corporations (Combustion Engineering and GAF Corporation), and in his own practice.
He also has 7 years of engineering experience in the design and analysis of navy and commercial nuclear power plants with Curtiss-Wright Corporation Ebasco Services.
Edd M. Schillay (non-attorney)
Edd joined the firm in 2001 as Manager of Operations, where he oversees office management, administration and the entire firm's IT needs. In addition, Edd handles all of the website design and maintenance for MirskyLaw.com as well as for the firm’s many website clients.
Prior to joining Mirsky and Associates, Edd co-owned a New York City-based court reporting firm and was founder of @tlantic enterprises, a website and Internet services company. Before that, Edd was an on-air personality named “Fast Eddie” on WSTK-AM and afterwards on New York City’s WPLJ-FM (then known best as POWER 95.)
Edd has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from St. Thomas Aquinas College and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Rho honor society. His roles as Editor In Chief of the school newspaper, Editor In Chief of the school yearbook and Program Director of the campus radio station earned him the college’s Gold Key award for student participation.
For the past seven years, Edd has been Commodore of the Eastchester Bay Yacht Racing Association where he also races, sometimes successfully, a C&C 37/40+ sloop named the “Starship Enterprise.”.
